MÜLLER LICHT obtains license from LUMITECH for worldwide use of PI-LED patents
The Austrian company LUMITECH and the company Müller-Licht were able to conclude a license agreement on the worldwide use of patents for PI-LED technology. Müller-Licht now has the possibility to offer products, especially the smart lamp series tint, based on PI-LED technology around the globe.
PI-LED is the world's leading technology for the future market of Human Centric Lighting. It combines both variable white light from 1,800 to 16,000 K and colours in one light source, with constant, highly efficient light quality and perfect colour rendering. This technology can be optimally combined with tint from Müller-Licht. tint always provides the right light because it offers a colour spectrum of 16 million colours, warm white and daylight white light as well as the dimming function. tint can be controlled with a remote control, via Smart Home System, by app or speech - and that at the same time. In addition, tint provides six preset lighting scenes that can be conveniently selected using the remote control. tint lamps and luminaires can be grouped according to your requirements and thus controlled as a unit.
"We are delighted that Müller-Licht has decided to use the trend-setting PI-LED technology in its tint products, making it accessible to a wide range of customers in the form of lamps for (private) homes," says Dr. Stefan Tasch, CEO of LUMITECH.
LUMITECH's PI-LED patent was registered for the first time in 2007. It refers to the manufacture and use of LEDs in blue, red and the special tone mint, which in combination can reproduce any desired colour temperature with a high CRI as well as a wide range of individual colours. For biorhythmic light - Human Centric Lighting - PI-LED is the leading technology on the market. According to studies, by 2020 Human Centric Lighting will account for around 10 percent of the total market for general lighting.
